December is going to be a relatively quiet month in the New England Indie Wrestling world, with only 3 shows happening all month*! Of course that means fans will have more money to spend on merch. Buy a t-shirt and support your favorite (or least favorite!) wrestler!

*As far as we know, Beyond Wrestling's Wrestling Open shows will be continuing on a weekly basis (though only one has tickets available on their website as of 11/30). But kayfabe.ink is something we do for fun, and Beyond's failure to fire someone who posted particularly nasty transphobia isn't fun. You can look it up if you're so inclined. The employee in question at first doubled down and then posted an apology that was actually pretty good as such things go, but other than that he seemed to face no consequences from the promotion. We try to imagine how we would explain our choice to continue to promote Beyond to our trans friends, and no version of that conversation we can imagine ends with us feeling good about ourselves. So we're not going to do it.

The whisper network suggests there are other problems with the promotion, but we don't have that from any first-hand sources, so take it with a grain or possibly entire shaker of salt. We do know that wrestlers at the Wrestling Open events get a cut of the gate rather than a guarantee, which isn't common practice in the industry.
