WWE Evolve: 10/3/25

Ah, WWE Evolve. Where up-and-coming wrestlers from around the country are given the unenviable task of proving they can provoke an audience reaction while performing in front of a somnambulant crowd of like fifty people in a dark TV studio!

This week’s episode kicks off with a tag team match: Adrenaline Drip, consisting of Jack Cartwheel and Cappuccino Jones, facing Jax Presley and Harley Riggins. Presley and Riggins were the physically larger team, though with Presley in a sleeveless red net shirt and Riggins wearing a Ruff Riders football jersey like he just arrived from 1995, Adrenaline Drip clearly had the better, uh drip. Cappuccino Jones makes those calf-length jorts look good!

Riggins feigned injury early in the match, giving Presley an opportunity to sucker punch Jones, and Riggins sprang from the mat to kick Jack Cartwheel in the chest! Though the dastardly and improbably tall team of Riggins and Presley dominated early, the smaller, more fashionable, and ultimately more athletic team of Adrenaline Drip recovered in style, flipping and flying their way to victory!

We cut to 3 members of faction The Vanity Project backstage, and Evolve Men’s Champ Jackson Drake belittling Bryce Donovan, calling him the weak link in an effort to “motivate him.” He said he’s entrusting Donovan with the task of solving The Vanity Project’s biggest problem yet, which we assume must be hair product related, as Drake’s hair is perfectly gelled and Donovan’s lengthy locks look positively silky. Donovan left, we assume to hit up the beauty supply store.

And then we got to Edris Enofe, emerging in gold tights, a gold crown, Kool Moe Dee shades, and gold braids. The man is unquestionably fabulous. He was taking on Tate Wilder, who brought big Blake Shelton energy to the ring as he emerged in black cowboy hat, weighted vest (we don’t know either—maybe he’s training for something important later) and chaps, which fortunately or unfortunately depending on your perspective, he wore on top of jeans. It was a hard-fought, high flying match eventually taken by Wilder with the moonsault and the pin!

Back to the women’s locker room, where Masyn Holiday and Layla Diggs complimented Wendy Choo’s new do, but Nikkita Lyons arrived in form-fitting black dress accented by a Mrs. Roper caftan and brought the mean girl energy.

Back to the ring, where Carlee Bright took on Women’s Champion Kali Armstrong in a non-title match. Bright struck some cutesy, Instagram-worthy poses in the ring after her entrance. We would caption those, “felt cute, might get beat later” because like the goddess of death and destruction that is her namesake, Kali Armstrong absolutely laid waste to Carlee Bright, even giving her the Kali Connection finishing move twice, either just because she could, or to send a message to number one contender Kendal Grey, who was ringside in Bright’s corner.

Back to the men’s locker room, where It’s Gal (no longer calling himself the Israeli Action Figure! Wonder why?) was bemoaning the fact that the injury to his tag team partner might make him as irrelevant as the other guys he was sitting with. Dante Chen tried to raise Gal’s spirits by telling him the business is one of ups and downs, but Gal insisted that it’s only ups for him because he is special, and Dante left in anger and disgust.

Finally Brooks Jensen took on Keanu Carver for the privilege of facing Jackson Drake for the men’s championship on October 15th. Jensen claims to be from Alabama but did not say “roll tide” even once, so we have our doubts. And speaking of rolling, Keanu Carver rolled over Jensen in convincing fashion. Actually he threw him out of the ring and then, once he was back in, Samoan dropped him onto the mat for the victory.

But then Bryce Donovan, apparently back from his Sally’s Beauty Supply run, came into the ring and spent a solid minute abusing Carver with a chair, culminating with him stomping the folding chair that had Carver’s left arm in it at the time.

Carver slunk away to nurse his wounds, and the entire Vanity Project came out to stand in the ring cheering while Drake taunted Carver with the belt. Seems like a safe move that Drake will almost certainly not regret!
